Zoo in Prague

The Prague Zoo (Zoo Praha) is not just a place where you can see exotic animals. It is a huge world located in the picturesque Troja Valley on the banks of the Vltava River, where nature, care for animals and modern infrastructure are harmoniously combined. The Gorilla Pavilion and the enclosure for Sumatran tigers are particularly impressive, decorated in such a way that it seems as if you are in their natural habitat. For younger visitors, there is a children's zoo where you can pet and feed goats, sheep and other domestic animals.

The zoo has been designed for comfortable recreation: there are plenty of picnic areas, cafes and snack stands, children's playgrounds and even a cable car connecting the lower and upper parts of the territory. The panoramic view from it is amazing - you can see both the aviaries and the neighborhood of Troia.

Entrances and routes are adapted for people with limited mobility and families with strollers. In summer, you can take a river streetcar directly from the center of Prague to the zoo, which makes the trip an adventure in itself.

The zoo actively organizes educational programs, themed days, meetings with caretakers and feeding demonstrations. For example, you can see how penguins are fed or how elephants take water procedures.

Many programs are aimed at children so that they can get to know the animals better, understand the importance of protecting them and feel part of the big natural world.

Prague Zoo is an ideal place for a vacation for the whole family. It combines learning, beauty, care for animals and high organization of space. You can spend a whole day here without noticing how quickly time has flown by.
