1.1 These rules regulate the learning procedure, rights and obligations of students (hereinafter referred to as "Student"), as well as organizational aspects related to the educational process at the KOVER Language School (hereinafter referred to as "School").

1.2. The main objective of the School is to provide quality educational services in the field of Czech language learning.

1.3. By making the first payment, the Student automatically agrees to these rules.

1.4. All amendments and additions to these regulations are approved by the School administration and come into force from the moment of their publication.

1.5. These regulations are valid for the entire period of the student's studies at the School.

1.6. In case of enrolment of a minor child, the customer is his/her adult parent or guardian.

2.1. The school has the right to:

• change the schedule and location of classes by notifying the student in advance.
• to take photos and videos during classes. The materials obtained can be used to provide students with recordings of lessons for the purpose of subsequent viewing of lectures, as well as for promotional purposes.
• not make up classes missed due to the student's fault regardless of the reason.
• cancel the course or reschedule for other dates if the number of participants in the course is less than 9.
• Suspend a student from classes without refund in case of non-compliance with this policy

2.2. The school is committed to:

• Provide quality educational services in the field of Czech language learning in accordance with the program of the selected course
• Create a favorable atmosphere in the classroom
• Maintain records of student attendance and performance
• Make up to the Student for classes missed due to KOVER's fault by holding classes at other times and on other days or by refunding the cost of missed classes.
• Not to transfer personal data to third parties without the consent of the data subject, except as provided by law.

3.1. The student has the right to:

• Receive quality education in accordance with the curricula.
• Use instructional materials from the school library during class time.
• Communicate with administration and faculty on all matters pertaining to the educational process.
• Participate in cultural and educational activities organized by the school.
• In the case of individualized instruction, reschedule the scheduled class to any other day within the calendar month for which payment has been made, provided that you notify KOVER administration and the instructor at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled class.

3.2. The student is committed to:

• To pay for the educational services provided by the School in full and in accordance with the selected payment option.
• Observe the internal regulations and rules of the school.
• Treat faculty, staff, and other students with respect.
• Treat school property and instructional materials with care.
• Do not defame the good name of the school, do not post negative or defamatory statements about the school, its staff and students on social networks and other public sources.

4.1. Training is provided:

• In person in Prague: Politických vězňu 911/8, Praha 1, 110 00;
• in Brno: Kobližná 47/19, Brno, 602 00;
• online on the Zoom or Google Meet platform.

4.2. The School uses academic hours to calculate teaching hours. One academic hour is 45 minutes.

4.3. The student enrolls in one of the following courses: semester course, accredited course, summer school for children, individual course, or year-long Czech language course.

• 4.3.1 An accredited course is a Czech language course whose program is accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic. A course for level A1 contains 63 academic hours, a course for level A2 contains 126 academic hours, a course for level B1 contains 150 academic hours. The intensity of the program depends on the selected course and schedule. The maximum number of people in a group is 16.
• 4.3.2 Summer school for children - an intensive Czech language course lasting 4 weeks. The program intensity is 9 academic hours per week. The maximum number of people in the group is 14.
• 4.3.3 Individualized course - an individualized course format, when the instructor and the student are engaged in 1 on 1. The intensity and duration of the course are agreed upon with the student in advance.
• 4.3.4 One-year Czech language course - intensity of classes - 20 academic hours per week. Maximum number of people in the group - 14

4.4. Classes are held according to the schedule set for the chosen training format and course.

4.5. In the event that the number of participants in the course is less than 6, the School reserves the right to cancel the course or reschedule for other dates.

4.6. A Czech language certificate is issued upon successful completion of the course.

4.7. A course is considered successfully completed when 2 conditions are met:

• Class attendance of at least 80%;
• Successful completion of the final examination (minimum 70% marks for A1, A2 and B1 courses)

5.1. Payment can be made in cash, by bank transfer or in any other way agreed with the administration of the School.

5.2. Payment shall be made in advance by one of the following options:

• 100% - full payment must be made before the start of the course. In this case, the student will receive an additional discount, which is set for the selected format of training.
• Installments - the amount will be divided into several payments for each training period. Payment for each period must be made before the start of the period.

5.3. If you book a place on the course and pay a deposit of 1000 CZK, this amount serves as a guarantee for the reservation. In case of subsequent withdrawal from the course, the deposit will not be refunded.

5.4. In case of early withdrawal from the course, the refund is made in proportion to the number of remaining classes, less an administration fee of 1000 kronor.

5.5. In case of early termination of studies, the student also has the right to freeze the amount (left on the virtual account of the School), proportional to the number of remaining classes, and use it within 6 months for other courses offered by the School. In this case, no administration fee will be deducted from the amount.

6.1 In the event of a dispute, the parties shall make every effort to resolve it through negotiations. If the disputes cannot be resolved through negotiations, the parties may appeal to a Czech court.

6.2. The Customer may express proposals and claims in writing and send them electronically tokover.
